Riverwoods Nature Photographic Society was founded in 1982 to promote the appreciation of the natural world through photography. Membership is open to all adults who share this goal. We currently have approximately 60 members. All photographic skill levels are welcome.
Meetings are held twice a month on the first and third Mondays, September through July, at 7:30 p.m. at the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Station #53, 671 Woodlands PKWY, Vernon Hills, Illinois.
The meetings consist of competitions (five regular and usually two special each year) of nature prints and digital projected images done by members, workshops designed to improve nature photographic skills and programs on nature subjects or destinations intended to inform, inspire or entertain.
Outings of one day or longer duration and field workshops are offered during the year to appropriate nature locations. Social functions include an Awards Picnic in August and a Holiday Party in December.
Membership dues are $30 single, $45 couple and include a monthly email newsletter and membership list. If you wish to become a member, please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or attend one of our club meeting to become a member and enjoy membership benefits.
