New Member Welcoming Program

In order to help new members enjoy the full benefits of the club as soon as possible after joining, Riverwoods Nature Photographic Society has instituted a welcoming program. Under this program, individuals who have been involved with the club for some time are paired with new members to assist them in meeting other club members, introduce them to outings, help them participate in competitions, and answer any questions about the club’s operations and activities.

The program is strictly voluntary — old members who wish to participate volunteer as “guides” and new members wanting some assistance in becoming active club participants sign up as “newcomers.”

The club membership chair maintains a list of the guides and newcomers and assigns the pairings. Volunteers to be guides are always needed and newcomers are always welcome. Contact the membership chair to get on the list.
